Columbia Flooring believes stewardship is good for our environment - and our business. That's why we're dedicated to sustainability, integrity and transparency in all sourcing and manufacturing of our laminate floors. We constantly seek ways to recycle, reduce, reuse, recover and renew our laminate flooring.
74% of our U.S.-produced laminate floor boards are made of pre-consumer (post-industrial) wood waste - waste that would otherwise be burned or dumped in a landfill. Instead, we integrate it into our chipboard factory, burn it for heat or send it to third-party manufacturers for reuse.
Our patented locking system eliminates the introduction of VOCs typically associated with installation adhesives. Laminate floors manufactured after January 1, 2009, are California 93120 Phase 1 compliant for formaldehyde emissions.* Plus, unique anti-static properties keep our laminate floors cleaner.
Finally, when it's time for a change, simply unclick, remove and reuse your laminate floor. Put it in another room, another home or give it away to a community organization.

We say choose the laminate flooring that is rigorously tested, proven by a third-party facility and guaranteed to be of the highest quality. But we don't expect you to take our word for it. That's why we have the NALFA Certification Seal. The Certification Seal proves that our floors passed 10 very demanding performance tests. In addition, our floors comply with all CARB (California Air Resource Board) requirements. We offer the industry's best quality laminate flooring available. Not because we say so, but because the NALFA Certification Seal proves it. |

Columbia laminate flooring has earned the prestigious FloorScore certification for indoor air quality by passing the most stringent tests in the world. All Columbia products are officially FloorScore certified, giving families living on our flooring peace of mind that they are bringing a product into their home that meets strict indoor air quality standards. |
* CARB regulations allow for an 18 month sell through provision period to deplete noncompliant inventory produced prior to January 1, 2009.
